2011 in Review

Special Blog Post for Team Meathead:

This is a special time of the year. In addition to the holidays and fun family get togethers, it's also a time of reflection on the purpose of something we all share, our hard work towards the evolution of Meathead Movers. As 2011 comes to an end we are grateful for the amazing Meatheads/Princesses and Administrative Team as well as our customers and community that we have been able to work with.

Here are a few of the highlights from this year:

  • Launched Princess Packers in April which has added 20 jobs!!!
  • Launched 401K saving plans where Meathead matches the first 4% of employee contributions.
  • Added 106 jobs to the local economy!!!
  • Moving Camarillo branch’s office to a better and more functional location.
  • Expanded local moving service region in Los Angeles and Orange County
  • Launched Meathead Clothing Line www.MeatheadStore.com
  • Opened a sales office in Southern Los Angeles County.
  • Completed two “Girls Night Out” events raising $20,000.00 for local charities.
  • Created new “moving announcement” give-away for clients to help increase likelihood of tips.
  • Shared the “Meathead Vision” in Fort Worth, Tx at the leading young entrepreneurs summit.
  • Was recognized by the White House as “Top 100 Companies” led by young entrepreneurs.
  • The “Cinderella Fund” has raised $6,436.00 for youth charities generated by Princess Packers.
  • Added 30+ videos to our website.
  • Filled up Meathead Mini Storage
  • Invested over $80,000.00 in maintenance and repairs on our fleet.
  • 30% annual revenue growth.
  • Recognized as the #1 moving company per L.A. Daily News and remained #1 moving company per the New Times, Santa Maria Sun, Pacific Coast Business Times and Ventura County Star.
  • Moved over a dozen women out of a domestic violence situation for free.

I want to personally thank you for how hard you have worked this year, this company is not meant for the weak and lazy. Each of you choose to do something that is harder than the norm and it is because of that very reason why we, collectively, can make a positive difference for our customers, community and ourselves as well as each other.

Forever evolving and improving, I remain humbly thankful to you:

Aaron Steed, CEO
